of the Prism" is a
Firefox Add-on that provides a soundtrack for our surveilled internet
meanderings. The public recently learned that the US National Security Agency's
on-going internet surveillance program, Prism, collects data from users of
major websites.
ED Noor: I installed it to check
it out and it is very operational, perhaps too much so for my taste. I had to
remove it fast. All my short experience proved is, according to this gadget,
EVERYTHING is snagged in PRISM. So just assume this and behave
accordingly. Heck, even the Google search
page is linked. So is the Flickr first page, a photography site. What I think I
would like is a bug that undoes everything as I go along!
The
German Bundestag today approved a resolution vowing to combat anti-Semitism and
support Jewish life in Germany, and to deepen the country’s special
relationship with Israel.
This
accurate, hilarious, pathetic, frightening photo essay MUST be seen to be appreciated. Guaranteed to make you laugh yet still, alas,

Noor, as always, you hit the proverbial nail squarely on the head. Here's another nail for you.
ReplyDeleteAbout the German Bundestag just passing a resolution, supported by all the members except the left party, decrying "anti-semitism". (What's rising, thankfully, in Germany is Anti-Zionism, a human duty.)
The paragraph from Haaretz, omitted from many reports, including the German media, is this one:
"The resolution was supported by the Christian Democratic Union, the Social Democratic Party, the Free Democratic Party and the Greens. The Left Party reportedly abstained due to the resolution’s declaration that solidarity with Israel’s security is “Staatsräson” for Germany — an essential aspect of the German political identity." So, a few thinking parliamentarians were smart enough to abstain from a vote which claimed Germany's "raison d'être", its “Staatsräson”, its singular purpose and existence as a nation (if you can believe that!?) is to ensure the security of a rogue, nuclear armed, Apartheid, genocidal, maniacal, belligerent and illegal 'state' called 'israel' (spit!).
The rest of the zombies in the Bundestag tugged their forelocks, bent over and kissed Netanyahu's ass, and committed the (once) proud Deutschen Volk and their taxes to self-effacing treason.
And nobody batted an eyelid! Dortmund was playing Frankfurt so the masses had their beer, sausages and circuses.
This will happen in Canada too, mark my words!

DeleteCanada is also Israeli Occupied Territory as you know. A few years ago I was upset when Canada signed a "joint border agreement" between Canada and Israel. Like, WHAT common borders do we have considering they are wayyyyy over there in a stolen sandbox. However, I see these laws being applied to keep people out of Canada who express unwanted opinions regarding Israel or our not so dear friends. Like... WHY?
Our frickin' PM got up a few weeks ago and harassed the rest of the planet for not supporting Israel strongly enough in all of its endeavours. HOW embarrassing that was! He is frustrated because he cannot lick between Israeli toes from the bottom ....
Sorry... but the enemy is everywhere and making great strides. And worse than the completely apathetic are the useful idiots who just don't think things through. We have lots of them too. There seems to be more of a roots level fighting spirit than here.
