IRANIAN TV ACCUSES ISRAEL OF USING NEPAL AID TO MASK BABY TRAFFICKING

Simon Wiesenthal Center slams report, which was also picked up by a Venezuelan network

Iranian TV has accused Israel of using its humanitarian mission to Nepal to mask the trafficking of 25 Nepali babies, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported Monday, citing the Iranian network.

The April 25 quake, which claimed the lives of over 8,000 people, was the worst to hit Nepal in over 75 years.

According to the JTA, Iran's Spanish-language television channel Hispan TV quoted an unidentified NGO as charging that "Israel uses humanitarian help as a cover for trafficking of 25 babies in Nepal."

Telesur, a Venezuelan television station, later picked up the Iranian report and added that of the 25 infants born to surrogate mothers that were airlifted to Israel, "15 of them were born through Tammuz, an Israeli surrogacy company which provides services to Israeli couples unable to bear children, particularly homosexual couples.”

The US-based Simon Wiesenthal Center slammed the reports, saying: "The ‘Tehran ~ Caracas axis’ even perverts humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters such as the Nepal earthquake, just as they had accused the Israeli medical mission of harvesting body parts in the Haiti catastrophe."

"Through these Spanish language television satellites, Iran foments anti-Semitism across the Americas, just as it sponsors global terrorism, slanders the Holocaust and pursues its nuclear program,” a statement read.

The Times of Israel posts this as a “humanitarian effort” and refers to the adoptive parents as “their parents” with almost no mention of the surrogate women or their fate:

Dear Reader, please excuse the horrific font here but I must go out and wanted to post this after posting and reposting this to fix the html problem. Nothing seems to work.
