AUTUMN BREAK

Just a short message. As you may have surmised by my silence, I am taking a little time off. So very weary of so much same old, same old. So tired of all the same stuff over and over and over again. Break might last maybe a day. Maybe a week. Maybe a month or more, but I doubt that long. But for the moment, just on sabbatical.

The days are noticeably shorter, the morning fog hangs longer. Germs abound everywhere as the climate cools. Already Grandson (pictured below) has made his Grandmother sicker than the proverbial dog. He has figured out how to share deadly germs that laid us all, even the dog, to waste for a week. Do I consider a vaccine considering at one year of age he has already become a germ-pool? Not on your life! Or mine, come to think of it.

All he wants to do is figure out things, like spinning wheels or how drains work. He is such a boy child it is amazing. Not an iota of girl in him! High male energy, inquisitive, sweet of nature. He will crawl after a HotWheels for hours. No interest in stuffed toys, just books and wheels. Mom, with her gender stuff, is getting an education on natural traits.

I hope you and yours are all fine and enjoying the fruits of summer. Coming up is the autumn moon. All is as it should be.

Autumn reminds me that our bodies, minds, and surroundings are always developing. We focus on the impermanence of life ~ remembering how vital it is to embrace the present. We must savor what we have before it is gone. That is what I am doing. Now.

Back soon. Thank you all. You know once the rains set in, I will be back.  Don't forget that my excellent Blog Roll to the right is full of great links to keep you busy!

  3. I'm glad all is well with you Noor. When I didn't see your normal Saturday posting I worried after a few days. My mind playing tricks and wondering what might have happened to you. The weather is even starting to take a turn towards autumn even down here. The nights are starting to get a little cooler. Well enjoy your rest and stay healthy my friend. Steve... Lakeside Ca.

  4. A Saturday without snippets and snappits blogspot cartoon compilation is like a Saturday without sunshine. An oasis of sanity. Canada and US elections sure to generate reams of satire. Rest up Noor And spend some time with your grandson now as the immediate future will be quite busy. Your loyal fan AL @ Syracuse NY

  5. Oh no, I hope that "gender stuff" will not become a real problem down the road and turn the kid's life upside down. Maybe, it needs to be repeated every so often to get it into people's thick heads: There are two genders - male and female. All the rest is gobbledygook, more likely even worse.

So, let boys be boys and girls girls. There is nothing wrong with the traditional, natural division of male and female. In the end, it is what makes society go around in a healthy way.

Wishing you the best Noor and speedy recovery.

  8. The 2019 Canadian federal election is scheduled to take place on October 21, 2019. Parliament was dissolved by Governor General Julie Payette on September 11, 2019 on the advice of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The 40-day campaign will see the incumbent Liberals attempt to secure a second majority mandate, that it won in the previous election.

I would have thought that the Trudeau blackface news would have brought you back, but no.

Isn't it raining yet? I had always understood that out there it rains all the time. Must be having an unusually bad drought this year.
