TODAY'S IMAGE: SEPTEMBER 22, 2011

Today's image might leave you scratching your heads. It reminds me of Bazooka Joe bubble gum. Do they still even sell that sugary stuff with the awful cartoons?

My first thought was, "What the heck is THAT?!?"

It makes for a rather interesting image, but not exactly great art until you figure out what it is.

Or, if you are impatient or just plain want to check your first guess, scroll wayyyyyyyyyyy down the page and see the answer!

This image is of something natural we cannot normally see, know about from our personal experience, photographed and enlarged.

Good luck!

TODAY'S IMAGE: SEPTEMBER 20, 2011

Farewell India ~ Trey Ratcliff

Enlarge the thumb to delight in the fine detail of this most serene of photographs by Trey Ratcliff.

I had a truly wonderful time in India and I can't wait to return. After spending most of the day exploring the Taj Mahal, I found a car to take me across the river. The bridge was over 100 years old and crowded with every type of locomotion ~ from donkey to pull cart to bike.

After working my way down to the river, I found I could not quite get low enough to take the photo I wanted.

So, reluctantly, I took my camera off my tripod and buried it in the mud, about half an inch above the water.

I spent all night in the bathroom saying I was sorry to the camera... cleaning her up back into her old self once again.

THE GAZA STRIP ~ NEW YEAR'S EVE, 2009

I was sent the following images from Gaza earlier this evening.
You will not see them on the controlled propaganda media.
WARNING: Do NOT HAVE children nearby when you look at these.
Have a puke bucket and a box of tissues beside you.
You may need them both.

This is what is happening in Gaza while we "celebrate" the beginning of 2009.

Personally, I see nothing to celebrate tonight.
Not a damn thing.
Our war loving Prime Minister supports these atrocities.
As a Canadian, I am shamed.
As a human being I am shocked and in tears.
