MEMORIAL DAY APOSTATES

KENNY’S SIDESHOW

May 27, 2012

A compilation of just a few of those who do not toe the official line of ”so that we could be free."

We should re-write the 'pledge.'
I pledge allegiance to the bankers and to the republic of which they own.....

But does any citizen really understand why the 2.8 million fellow Americans were killed or wounded fighting in wars waged by the U.S. Government?

Most people believe that all the wars the U.S. has fought have been to make the “world (including the U.S. homeland) safe for Democracy?

But when you delve deeper beyond the patriotic propaganda of why the wars were truly waged in the past and continue to be waged in the present you begin to find a disturbing pattern of why the United States Government goes to war.
We should all remember on this Memorial Day that the wars that the United States of America has waged, have been waged not to protect our freedom but to enrich a very few at the expense of the very many.

Memorial Day: 1% mock US military with unlawful wars; arrests are when?

The 1% mock Americas war dead on every Memorial Day because they continuously damn more US soldiers to kill and die in unlawful wars.

This is an insult to our military past and present, and their families. Because an unlawful war is a literal attack upon US soldiers, it is also treason by the 1% upon American military.

How much longer will US military and law enforcement tolerate 1% policies of war that kill millions, harm billions, and loot trillions?

Importantly, the 99% of the American public also dishonor our military with any thoughts, words, or deeds under illegal US Wars of Aggression other than to demand arrests of obvious US War Criminals and immediate end of the wars.

Let's make one thing crystal clear, no member of the US military contributes in any way whatsoever to protecting the freedoms of the American people. As a matter of fact, they are more likely to turn their weapons on you than they are to defend your Constitutional rights.
"On this Memorial Day, Veterans For Peace asks you to mourn not only for Americans killed in battle, but also for those killed by Americans in battle. We ask you to be willing to accept the fact that these war deaths did not have to happen ~ that they are actually in vain. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people have died in American wars of aggression. That is a tragedy and is a truth that must be accepted and for which we must take responsibility."

This sketch is titled "PTSD"

Here are some numbers to remember this Memorial Day: Although only 1 percent of Americans have served during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, former service members represent 20 percent of suicides in the United States ~ 18 veterans kill themselves everyday. Close to a million veterans currently have pending disability claims.
“Military personnel know America will always have a military, but there is growing concern over the way it is being used,” ~ “the use of torture, illegal detentions, and both soldiers and the public being lied to about the actual reasons for going into combat.”
If Amy Goodman would take on 9/11 as the false flag it was and quit being the left gatekeeper she is we might take her more seriously. Won't happen.

After 9/11, fear and loss-of-liberty threats became a perfect petri dish for the corporatocracy and a miasma of secrecy, surveillance, intimidation, punitive measures, and endless war.
If “they” attacked us only because they hated our freedoms,
there’s nothing to hate anymore.

Could it be that we have lost the true cost of war as we mourn its dead ~ could it be that flowers and flags can never justify the inhumanity of war ~ could it be that all wars are lost because there are no true winners and lastly why are we continuing to justify our current illegal occupations by falsely calling them wars.
In wartime, everything is done to subvert the force of love
but in the end ~ only love prevails. ~  Allen L Roland
Israel does not give medals of honor or commemorate Memorial Day to the Americans killed in the wars for them.  Their mentality is that we owe it to them and they expect more and more. No matter that they have murdered our own military personnel of the U.S.S. Liberty and were deeply involved in killing our civilians on 9/11 to further their madness.

Can we all shout in unison

"NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL!!!!!!!"

And again. LOUDER now!

"NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL!!!!!!!"

It's not like we haven't been warned over and over again.

U.S. war making in the Middle East appears to have only one lasting beneficiary, the State of Israel.
Israel's military and political power has been magnified by the destruction of its neighbors and the enormous military aid it has received from the American taxpayer.

Forget that outdated notion.  The 'war on terror' may require our military to 'protect our freedoms' right here at home against our own. A Memorial Day under martial law coming soon?

I still have faith that our military will not turn their guns on us.

This is what our military does. We should think about this as we grill our Memorial Day burgers.

“All wars are planned by older men
In council rooms apart,
Who call for greater armament
And map the battle chart.
But out along the shattered field
Where golden dreams turn gray,
How very young the faces were
Where all the dead men lay.
Portly and solemn in their pride,
The elders cast their vote
For this or that, or something else,
That sounds the martial note.
But where their sightless eyes stare out
Beyond life’s vanished toys,
I’ve noticed nearly all the dead
Were hardly more than
boys.”

MARK TWAIN'S WAR PRAYER

In one form or another this prayer is still being offered up, especially by the 'Christian Zionists.'
"O Lord our Father, our young patriots, idols of our hearts, go forth to battle ~ be Thou near them! With them, in spirit, we also go forth from the sweet peace of our beloved firesides to smite the foe.
O Lord our God,
help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells;
help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead;
help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain;
help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire;
help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief;
help us to turn them out roofless with their little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it
~ for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord,
blast their hopes,
blight their lives,
protract their bitter pilgrimage,
make heavy their steps,
water their way with their tears,
stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet!
We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

it will be wrapped in the American flag."  ~ Huey Long

If you're like me you'll remember it like anybody remembers any war; one big drag. Lot of people write songs about wars and government...very social things. But I think about young guys who were like I was when I was young. I had no more idea about any government, or political things or anything.

And I think about those kind of young guys now who all of a sudden somebody comes up, and they're very law-abiding, so if somebody says go they don't ask any questions they just go. And I can remember not too long ago seeing a young guy with his right arm gone. Just got back. And I asked him how he was doing. He said he was doing alright now but he had thought he was gonna die. He said getting shot at didn't bother him, it was getting shot that shook him up. And I tried to put myself in his position. Maybe he cried, maybe he said...I can't write left -handed."

  1. Thanks for the repost Noor. Nice additional pics.

    I thought Mouser's short prayer was appropriate.

    'Remember the dead with solem respect,
    and remember the liars and lies who killed them.'

    Amen
