It is 10:23 PM. I am still working on putting things together. Today is one I won't forget ever.
It has been very difficult to concentrate on anything but the one thing that matters to me at the moment: events in Ottawa.
My morning began watching a young video-grapher filming the convoy of police and enforcers rolling in to the city get arrested while standing at the side of the road. It was a quick action that came out of the blue since he was already having a civil discussion with another officer about what was permissible. End of filming.
Tension has been horrendous during the day as the police built up very strong presence among the protesters, kettling them in, including the horses that resulted in injury to an older woman. She was being interviewed and just said, "We are a peaceful protest" when the horses swiftly moved in behind her, striking her to the ground. We just heard her shoulder was broken and she had some aches and bruises but is resting comfortably in the hospital. The gentleman struck down was fine. It was unintentional, something spooked the horse, but she is still an injured victim.
It is simply difficult to buckle down during what is IMHO possibly the most important day in Canada's history. However, I will be up as late as possible watching events on the ground and do some posting. The group on the ground is still have a lower key party and cooking big meals for those in attendance. Apparently there are a lot of people waiting to find their way into the city in the morning. How? No one knows since the city is completely locked down.
I am going to just get back to work and prep this stuff. Gonna be a long night.
Here it is now. 2:16 am and I have just gotten everything ready to post.
4:04 am and off to bed. Love you all. Tomorrow is going to be a very hard day for freedom loving Canadians. Pray for us. We need it!
Great job, as usual.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the trucker updates. MSM coverage is pretty thin here in the US.
From No. 80: "Cannot speak English. These are not Canadians, these are foreign invaders."
ReplyDeleteCome now, the chaps in question may have been Québécois. I have read that the Gatineau police have been working hand in glove with their Ottawa counterparts to break up the truckers' demonstration. Perhaps not all of us feel like Canadians, but in narrow legal terms, that's what we are, even if we don't speak English.
Over here, the press are reporting that when the Canadian police moved in to disperse the protesters, one police man was injured but is recovering.
ReplyDeleteNo mention of the lady trampled on by the police horses.
I wonder what odds I would get from bookmmakers, for the length of time it will take for F*ckdeu to appear in public without a large security contingent?
Keep well Noor.
Always excellent, Snips! Thank you so much. Nick
