TO PHIL EVERLY (January 19, 1939 ~ January 3, 2014)

 

I have loved the Everly Brothers since I was a child and they were heating up music with their nice-boy rockabilly harmonies ~ like Ricky Nelson and Roy Orbison they created a genre of music devoted to love and painted pictures relevant to the times. There were so many songs I found; I had forgotten just how prolific these men were. This is a lovely clip with Phil and Don singing songs that have been part of the American landscape since the 1950's.

This mini street library is located in a neighbourhood nearby ~ a lovely idea. Taken some time last summer. Of course I live on the West Coast, why do you ask?!
