Sadly, in this Western culture, Elders are no longer much respected; we are a burden, our very presence a reminder of primitive times and unpleasant histories. We dun know nuffin because the majority of us struggle with the society in which we live, automated and conducted via handheld devices which gives others access to one's deepest essence. This is not to say we are not loved, not at all, but that earlier appreciation (for lack of a better word) for lives gathering experience and wisdom to share is extremely rare in this modern "liberal" world. But I suppose is like taxes ~ we all get it.

 

Those wives of dictators do love to spend big time. Mooch was a prime example. Remember Imelda Marcos? American taxpayers' money in action, the trickle down effect.

As my blog has been purged of "offensive" material, anything I did on the Bolsheviks, early Communism, and in this case Nakba and some of the slaughters, have been removed. Nakba involved extremely bloodthirsty mass murders of entire villages and towns their names already erased from history. To even discuss the Nakba in Israel is to bring condemnation; to remember it almost a criminal act.
