YOUR SATURDAY CARTOONS: JANUARY 12, 2019

Flugennock says: With all the critical issues facing this country ~ the escalation of police violence; the continued highway robbery of the People by the likes of Amazon; the lack of hurricane relief for Puerto Rico; the lack of clean water in Flint, Michigan; the children dying in cages at the border ~ the first act of the US Senate this year was to introduce legislation that criminalized involvement with the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement working to end the Israeli occupation and apartheid state in Palestine.

This from a cartoonist who usually supports Democratic views! WOW!

Yes, that first model is a Democrat.
All of the headlines above are from the Drudge Report, but we haven't bothered to create links because ~ seriously ~ who wants to know more about this stuff?
.
We will say that the shutdown is getting interesting, and we find it amusing to hear the increasingly alarmed predictions of the end of our republic ~ usually without any mention of the fact that Chuck and Nancy could end the whole thing with a single phone call. But surely, they don't want nationwide chaos during the Trump administration, right? Right...?
.
And yes, Beto O'Rourke live-streamed his dental cleaning while interviewing the hygienist on her thoughts about living near the Texas/Mexico border. An action which frankly leaves us at a floss for words.
.
And the last story is about how the birth rates of white women have declined in virtually every state to the point that white populations will continue to decline as the birth rates of Hispanics and African-Americans increase. We are not reporting this as a good thing or a bad thing, but rather as a point of statistical interest and, most importantly, as an excuse to post pictures which might briefly inspire some white guys to show a little damn initiative in the fertilization department.

Observe how this rude disdainful creature from CNN behaves when tragic stories are effecting people around the nation; however, under Barack, folk such as she were taught nothing but disrespect for the men in blue. I was taught nail filing in public was low behavior; here it is weaponized appallingly by a very (undeservedly) public figure.

I did not see Christian Bale thank Satan on the Golden Globes. However, I did read about it. From what I gather Bale basically acted like Satan to portray Dick Cheney. He was not demon possessed; he was not thanking Satan for setting the example he required to immerse himself into the role of a satanically driven war criminal. Unfortunately, the media and satanists have decided to misinterpret his words.

This is what I did not have for dinner the other night when the family met to eat and say farewell to my daughter flying back to Europe. How do you wrap your mouth around such a thing?

Trump vs. the Crazies

If for some strange reason you didn’t already know how much the liberal media hates President Trump, you found out this week.

The Trump Hate Machine got revved up even before the president gave his national prime-time address Tuesday night about what he called “the growing humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border.”

Some of the country’s most desperate liberals in the media actually argued that the president’s televised pitch to the country for congressional funding for a stronger border fence should not be carried live by the networks.

Why? Because they said the president lies too much and they wanted to be able to fact-check his speech beforehand.

Of course, no one in the liberal media would have ever dreamed of showing such disrespect,’ and obvious bias ~ for one of Barrack Obama’s nationally televised pontifications.

Obama’s lies and false promises about the benefits of ObamaCare, like his misleading spinning about his administration’s fiascoes in the Middle East, were not checked, challenged or ridiculed immediately afterwards by the pundits, commentators or biased fact-checkers of the Washington Post, CNN, CBS, MSNBC, NPR,etc., etc., et liberal cetera.

In his tweets and at his press conferences does our current president embellish, exaggerate or stretch the facts to serve his political arguments or boost his record?

Of course he does.

Is he the first president in the history of America to do so?

Of course not.

It doesn’t make it OK for any president of any party to lie to the public or deliberately over-promise things to win political support, and if they do they should be called out on it by a fair, balanced and honest media.

But wouldn’t it be nice if our liberal media spent a little time fact-checking the Chuck Schumers & Nancy Pelosis of the world?

The least they could do is find 30 seconds of airtime to show some pre-Trump Era video clips of “see-no-crisis-at-the-border” Democrats like Schumer, Obama and Bill and Hillary Clinton warning Americans about the dangers of illegal immigrants and calling for stronger border security.

We know the liberal mainstream media don’t play fair, they play favorites. They’ll never seek out and publicize the flip-flops or hypocrisies of the Schumers & Pelosis.

But you can always count on the liberal media to over-publicize the supposedly terrible suffering caused by a partial government shutdown, which they have been busy doing.

So here were are with the president in a political stalemate.

Democrats in Congress led by Schumer & Pelosi don’t want a stronger border fence (now that Trump is for it) and refuse to give the president a dollar to fund it.

They and other Democrats in Congress and the media don’t think caravans of illegal immigrants trying to crash our border with Mexico qualify as a national emergency, which Trump says he has the power to declare to get his fence built if Democrats won’t compromise.

As I see it, President Trump has no choice but to hold firm. I think he should hold firm and I think he will.

What worries me are the Republicans in Congress. I’m afraid they’re going to cave.

If enough of them join with Schumer & Pelosi and the Democrats, our border security will be in the hands of newly elected crazies like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. who think America should put out the welfare welcome mat for anyone who can get here.

If that happens, the rest of America will know what it’s like to live in California.

Those little blue gloves really caught my attention.

Okay, this isn't really what Donald Trump proposed in last night's 8-minute address to the nation about the need to fully and immediately fund security for our southern border, as well as the President's intent to continue the government shutdown as the only possible method of getting the Democrats to take part ~ however unwillingly ~ in our nation's defense.

The President spoke eloquently of the high costs of our current inadequate security. A flood of illegal drugs, weapons, and gang members bringing suffering and death to Americans, as well as devastating the job market for African-Americans and Hispanics, and costing taxpayers untold billions for support services for our uninvited guests.

But as frightening as the President's statistics were, they can't compare to the terror we experienced when our TV screen was suddenly filled with two soul-sucking faces that put the "butt" in rebuttal...

  1. I saw the movie Vice with Christian Bale. It may have been my mood but it was really slow and I kept falling asleep!

  2. Good morning, Noor. Several interesting ones today. For some reason I was particularly tickled by the cartoon showing the aliens explaining to a curious Earthling that they weren't staying, it was just that they weren't allowed to smoke aboard the spaceship. I also enjoyed the view of the Norse axe with a runic inscription on it. I'll try to figure out what it says.

  3. Really laughed out loud at the books for dogs cartoon as most titles apply to our dog.

  4. Is everything all right, Noor? I was expecting a fresh batch of cartoons today (I'm almost sure today is Wednesday), but so far they haven't appeared.
