ALTERNATIVE SATURDAY CARTOONS: FEBRUARY 22, 2014

There was only a short period in the evolution of Egyptian art where realism in images (as above with that bloated figure) took place, during the reign of Akhenaton who demanded realism from the arts, a very controversial divergence from the traditional perfect representations of times past.

Western editorial cartoonists are having a field day denigrating Putin and Russia over the situation these little attention tarts created for Soros. This is the only one of hundreds that was ambiguous enough to be of interest.

I know this makes no sense, yet it makes all the sense in the world.

Very clever.

So where are the billions of dollars of reparations demanded from Europe and the rest of the world going?
.

This is funny stuff. Waste 15 minutes of absolutely silly humour that contains not a naughty word but the impeccable timing and swift wit of some very bad boys. Just funny stuff and, delightfully politically incorrect. I was too young to get this stuff at the time, or to appreciate the skills, but in these days of cheap laughs, the old quality shines through.

  1. Thanks Noor, for this clip. These 'bad' guys are able to laugh at themselves and you can't help but laugh with them. It's contagious. Smoking and drinking on public TV, eh? Love it.

  2. I am glad you enjoyed it. Now I understand all those years when my mother sat vigil waiting for her brood to get home from wandering, she would sit and knit watching Carson laughing to herself. She really appreciated the wit and timing and the political incorrectness of the time. She never thought of these people off the tube so to her "bad" was just what they did on the screen. In retrospect, what we know about their occult activities today... they really were among the baddest, especially Hope. Hope was much more than a fast cracking comic, he was very well placed politically on the inside. Deep inside. Meanwhile, they were funnier than stink.

  3. It's kind of a two edged sword. Do I have to feel guilty because I love to see theses guys performing? Or do I have to dismiss everything they have done because now we know about the dark side of them?

Me thinks for now I'm going to chalk it up to individual karma and have a good laugh anyways. The filth we are presented with today is not even funny anymore.
