I took a fall the other morning and completely wrecked my right shoulder. Remember my motor bike injuries a few years ago? I was finally as healed from that incident as I would ever be; this fall reopened the injury afresh. There will be no swimming for at least a month since the arm now just hangs uselessly. Until an hour or so ago I thought I would be able to finish this post but must stop. It hurts too much.
I hurt myself when walking with my 8 1/2 months pregnant daughter. Had we been on the other side of each other she would have taken the fall and I hate to think of what would of come of that! A small miracle for sure.
All the material is collected but I can't prepare it as needed, let alone load and post. Perhaps after resting for the night it will be possible in the morning. Check by then and please accept my apologies for the moment.
Below is an old photo from the first time I hurt myself a few years ago. Same dress. Same sling.
In the meantime, Happy 4th of July my American friends. Stay safe and enjoy your families.

Noor, in view of your incessant denunciation of universal health care, this article may interest you: https://www.commondreams.org/news/2018/07/04/i-cant-afford-trapped-and-injured-subway-car-woman-begged-bystanders-not-call
ReplyDeleteI don't know where you get the idea I am against universal healthcare. I consider healthcare of citizens to be extremely important and FULLY appreciate many aspects of well applied socialism. Our Canadian system is under duress but believe me, I am proud of our system. I have fabulous doctors, one of whom is a family friend, so am much luckier than many in consistency of care. I see him every week while I am on my regaining my health journey.
DeleteI believe in today's world it it the responsibility of the government to cover medical health, including dentistry, which is not covered for Canadian natural citizens.
You mentioned this in a comment once before so it is time to set you straight... with a smile.
I live in a nation that is currently more or less at a relatively tolerable level of socialism. I am fine with that because we pay into it all our lives. It is better than having NO med coverage; if you get hurt in an accident you are not on the line to losing your home to medical payments. That being said, I also believe it is up to the individual to take responsibility for their own health via daily choices in life ~ smoking, drinking, laziness, drugs, overeating.
