The Beast has landed in British Columbia. The shortages have hit. My beautiful part of the world is under global attack again. To keep up on that front, visit my friend and fellow Islander, Greencrow, who keeps ahead of all this so well I don't have to!. The weather reports never mentioned the many large mysterious waterspouts offshore the island a few days before the deluge began. And here we are. Roads washed out. The Coquihalla Highway gone for the foreseeable future cutting our province off from the rest of Canada. This Highway was also the only route for Western produce to be shipped out of the Port of Vancouver.
Interior flooding will hamper food production, the fruit basket of Canada under water. Farmland under water. Livestock lost. I could go all conspiratorial at this point ~ with logic to spare ~ but for now it is enough just figuring things out. The grocery shelves today were half bare but no one in my part of the city has gas to sell. My tank is almost empty and every station in the city is empty at this point. We can only hope that improves. The government has already announced rationing of gasoline and is telling everyone to walk or use public transit, not possible for many of us. Friends at the pool spoke of going to Walmart and Costco earlier this morning only to find a lot of empty shelves and almost no fresh produce. I know this will improve but it just shook me in my complacent core that the island was ... well a little isolated from so many of the usual urban problems. Not so much it seems.
Then I read that our beautiful BC Museum has gone woke and is removing everything from the Third Floor, a delightful depiction of the pioneers, the miners, loggers, old towne. A fascinating place to spend hours in with children. It is now symbolic of "white colonization" and must go. Never mind that there is another floor dedicated to the Indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest, again a world class exhibit to enjoy and learn from. But it seems, somebody has to go ~ the "White invaders". They call it "the process of decolonization."
I am depressed about the big push to get children vaccinated. The devious methods of advertising and promoting this evil is enough to make one nauseous. Meanwhile, they are busy normalizing the death of the young as they hide the numbers of lost infants. It makes me want to drink, to be honest, to think our world has come to this. But a drunk me would not be a good thing....
Congratulations to America for the right conclusion to the horrific farce of Kyle Rittenhouse's ordeal. There could be no other result than that reached by the honest citizens of Kenosha. I will let the images posted speak for themselves. And here... we go.
Dan Crenshaw is very loudly defending these Republicans. Remember that. This McCain wannabe is NOT to be trusted and never was.:
BC Farmland. The Interior.
One of the 10 Planks of Communism: no private property.

Speaking of Trump and the Russians:
West Coast Mayor of one of the lost cities:
British Columbians are allowed only 30 litres per "fill up":
We could use a few of these on the West Coast.
Oh, yes!
The cottage is closed for the winter. You return in spring to find an intruder left your door open all winter. Yes, it happens. Just hope a wolverine does not drop by for shelter...
End times anyone? Scorpions have been a plague in Egypt for millennia. However this particular creature has reappeared in great numbers and has killed dozens of people and sent hundreds to hospital with complications.
This new arachnid named "megaspider" has appeared in Australia. It's jaws are so strong it can bite through fabric and even fingernails. It is also highly toxic.
Back to that Communist plank about private ownership:
This week FaceBook finally banned Ben Garrison. And Google took down Stephen Lendman's excellent blog. Freedom of speech you gotta know.
From the family of Anthony Huber. Oh, dear. They are in such pain but also so much denial about their boy. They obviously did not watch the video footage of events.
Ages ago I used to chat under the name PaganLady. But I was still Conservative. This lass suffers from TDS. It is all Trump's fault.
Diversion, diversion, thy name is deception and sneaky manoeuvrings.
This fine specimen of gender bending works to remove the stigma from paedophilia because it makes them "feel bad". That is what those conversations are all about.....
The gorgeous Monica Belluci, the latest classic beauty from Italy.
Trump and Kyle could break these media propagandists!
Clear cut logging turns verdant islands into barren hills that produces so little forest that deer have to pack a lunch.
Evening Noor - sounds like things are not good where you are. And I hope someone comes to your aid with some petrol. Effin' scary when that happens. Time to grab a couple of metal NATO 20 litre Jerry cans so as to at least have a small backup.
ReplyDeleteBack to this weeks postings. I only got down to #35 when I went "Gotta make a comment" #'s 2,4,12,25,26 & 34 so apt. Well done girl !!!

Thank you for my 1 hour of peace every Saturday. If you need any food or essentials please let me know. Mike, mick66@q.com. Arizona.
ReplyDeleteA number of attractive nature shots this week, with autumn leaves in profusion. I particularly liked No. 57, the photograph of an owl peeping out of its hole under a bracket fungus growing on a big tree. The cowgirl in No. 167 is a treat for the eyes too (in contrast to the Italian gal showing off her tits in No. 284! Not to my taste, that one).
ReplyDeleteI hope the floodwater is beginning to recede. Bon courage !
