Things in Ottawa and along the borders are heating up. The war intensifies and there will be some significant actions taking place this weekend. However I have no doubt things will work out just as they are intended to, however that looks. The truckers in Ottawa are not too concerned and definitely not prone to any form of violence. After all, many have their families with them. This weekend promises to be a very packed event in Ottawa.
It has been difficult for me to get much done for the past few weeks. I have been absolutely glued to YouTube accompanying various street journalists strolling the locations, an integral part of this movement. They are walking about in that freezing cold at all hours of the day, witnessing, documenting, sometimes helping stop aggressive law enforcement just by their presence. Some chat and interview everyone they can; others just walk and film the city. Head over to Mami's Place where many of these videos and live-streams are posted.
Truth. Here I am as darling Bonnie adds more stipulations to our existence. Gyms still closed.
The story. It was a big Hollywood luncheon to celebrate the lovely Sophia Loren. She was to be introduced to America and this event was part of her launch; I think it was her birthday. Jayne Mansfield was also on the way up and was urged to dress provocatively and introduce America to her wares. She upstaged Sophia with the paparazzi. But who is still a legendary beauty living in Italy and who has long since deteriorated under the ground?
Five year old Mongolian child raised in the saddle before she could walk. She hits her target almost every time.
I watched a journalist interview a man who was part of a group of about 20 men clearing the streets. This was not just shovelling, it involved breaking through at least an inch of heavy ice to make for safe walking. There is not a jot of snow on the sidewalks and crime has fallen drastically.
Groups of people set up lines of barbecues and offer everyone burgers. The meat patties are definitely home made and the burgers look mighty fine. The street locals are being very well fed as well.
This is a tree of life in Ghana. The people carve these trees very intricately starting at the roots and the trees become living art.
This "fun carnival" was a huge gathering of true Canadians waving flags, singing, hugging, talking, signing trucks. Everyone beaming with joy and pride.
Our bought-and-paid-for media print propaganda like this. And, sadly, there are still many who drink this poison.
Porta-potties! You would prefer they do it as they do it in California in public spaces? Are you perhaps frightened to recognize the enormous organizational skills necessary to handle the logistics of successfully running this movement?
These are the guidelines followed by the Truckers. They are almost religiously followed; anything else and you would be dismissed. These are wise, well thought out guidelines. They have learned how to do it with respect, the polar opposite of the burning ways of Antifa and BLM a few summers ago.
These are shots of Trudy as he is being grilled about the convey by the new head of the Conservatives, Candace Bergman. The entire house, including many of his own, are dishing him some major heckling. He is angry as heck as he repeats the same message about the necessity of mandates and vaccines over and over and over.
I bicycled down Lombard Street in San Francisco on an early morning decades ago.
More students of Klaus Schwab's School for Young Global Leaders. DiCaprio and Musk....
The vanity of Bezos. He has purchased a ship so large that they must take down the historical Koningshaven Bridge to reach the open sea.The Dutch vow to pelt the superyacht with eggs as it passes.
Stumbled across this coincidence in a video last week. Barbara Bush, not a nice person by a long shot. Murdered? What do you think? Frazzledrip is one of the nastiest things I have ever come across, putting Pizzagate to shame almost. Hard to find much on the topic of course because of the players and the horror.
I almost named this week's page 'Convoys, Crack pipes and Mandates, Oh My!' but figured that might not reflect well on the Truckers
The delicious Sunday roasts my Mom cooked every week, for a family of teen boys, would cost upwards of $60 now! And the leftovers would go to school lunches or Shepherds Pie. Can you imagine cheese at 8 cents a POUND? Oh man.
Who cares about the Olympics when there is real life going on around the world as humanity begins to flex its muscles and wake up?
I don't know if this has been verified. But her father wrote most of her diary as we all know. It could be possible.
No longer representing Subway. Apparently cancel culture as cancelled her over old tweets. They are even discussing cutting her from her soccer team as well. Poor poor Meghan. Karma hits hard sometimes.
Lots of attractive photographs this week, Noor, many thanks. Don't share your affection for doggies, I'm afraid, but I particularly enjoyed No. 337, the old-fashioned water-pumping farm windmill, and No. 186, that gorgeous array of spring flowers. It's not like that here just yet, sad to say, another couple of months to go. Bonne semaine !
ReplyDeleteThe only reporting of the Canadian truckers on the news channels over here Noor are R.T. and GB News.
ReplyDeleteHope that the authorities come to their senses (unlikely).
Hope the police refuse orders that would cause harm (possible)
Hope to see your posts next week(certainty)
Keep well Noor.
Noor, I hope this posts and gets through to you. I have for many years appreciated and benefited and passed on the images you have so assiduously compiled and published. This compilation is one of your finest -- and during a most tempestuous time! I especially appreciate, warmed to the heart, the interspersing of animal pictures, landscapes, some of which I encounter elsewhere on the web (90 Miles, for one!). THANK YOU a thousand times for all your efforts and insights into what makes mankind so special!
