passing of this legislation would guarantee the acceptance of the
horrific Enbridge Pipeline on the West Coast that has been so opposed by
the populace.

pass the most massive corporate power handover in Canadian history.
FIPA, the Canada-China Foreign Investment Protection Agreement, could give foreign corporations sweeping powers to sue Canadian governments for implementing environmental protections on the tar sands, or for stopping the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline and other projects like it.
And worse, these lawsuits would happen in secret.
Prime Minister Harper has arranged for FIPA to pass automatically on October 31, without a single vote or debate in Parliament.
That’s why we partnered with Leadnow.ca on this campaign ~ if enough of us raise our voices now, a massive public outcry could actually stop this devastating deal in its tracks.

Alongside this deal, the Harper government is
trying to speed through the sale of one of Canada’s largest oil and gas
companies, Nexen, to the Chinese National Offshore Oil Corporation, one of

to a wave
of foreign buyouts
of Canada's natural
resources.
FIPA will only extend the power that these
corporations have once they have bought our natural resources ~ and China’s
state-owned corporations have virtually unlimited amounts of money to spend
buying out companies to secure their country’s long-term access to energy.
If Harper signs FIPA,
once a Chinese company
owns a Canadian resource,
it can covertly sue Canadian governments
~ municipal, provincial
or federal ~
if that government does
anything
that threatens the
company’s profits.
This means that any Canadian law or government
decision ~ even ones that protect Canadian jobs, our environment, our economy
and our families ~ could be fought in secret tribunals outside of our legal
system.
The regulations could be stopped even if they
would save Canadians lives, or were critical to averting catastrophic climate
change. And arbitrators, unaccountable to the Canadian public, would have the
power to award billions in damages to foreign corporations.
Time is running out to stop this devastating
deal.

Anonymous 8:35. Well put and I have been watching the progress of Trudeau with interest knowing full well his mother was forced in to labour to birth him (and a brother) on December 25. 1971. According to things I have read on his father, Pierre, so beloved by my mother, was quite the controlling perv in private and liked 'em young. He was a cold sunnuvagun despite the public persona.

As for the rest, I know we have no choice in our votes. Mulcair is also a dedicated Zionist or he would not have gotten to where he is. Sometimes I have wondered about the source of the cancer that took down patsy Jack to pave the way for his ascension.
If you look way back into my stuff on Harper, I have pointed him as a Zionist patsy and bully for many years, long before he ran for PM.
There is more to it than mere Harper bashing. And I have pointed this out in the past. THe whole picture is a dismal one and as in the US a complete overhaul is necessary once the leaders and their supporters/puppet masters are removed.
