DEEPWATER: NO LONGER SEXY!

DEEPWATER, THE IMPACT OF THIS IS HUGE. IT IS BIG, IT IS WIDE, IT IS BAD, AND IT IS UGLY. THE INHABITANTS OF THE GULF ARE BEING EXPOSED TO AN ATROCITY

It is amazing. I have just done a quick look through the net to see if anyone is still keeping up on the after effects of this spill and .... except for Mississippi suing BP for several reasons, it is as if the accident never happened. What gives? It is no longer a "sexy" story?

No update on the effects to the local wildlife? Not even the current situation of the creatures that have ingested the poisons? Not even a mention of the illnesses felt by the locals?

Or is that just not sexy either?

Thousands of marine animals still in danger from hidden oil in Gulf. The problems are far from over.

Scientists affiliated with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) (WHOI) have detected a plume of hydrocarbons at least 22 miles long and more than 3,000 feet below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, a residue of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

HIDDEN OIL AND GAS PLUMES IN THE GULF

Deepwater Horizon oil well blowout, and the enormous environmental destruction it is causing, forced her to change the way she works.

"As an oceanographer, you are trained to make these detailed cruise plans," notes Joye. "Everything is just so, 'I'm going to be here on day one and here on day ten'."

Days after the BP oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico that killed 11 people, Joye got the wheels in motion to submit a proposal for a "Grant for Rapid Response Research" from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Her goal was to investigate underwater oil and gas plumes, and determine how this disaster was impacting deepwater organisms.

Within a week, NSF approved the grant. Joye and her team from the University of Georgia, along with researchers from several other universities, spent May 24 through June 6, 2010 aboard the University of Miami research vessel, Walton Smith, departing from Gulfport, Miss.

"I don't think I've ever flown by the seat of my pants the way we were flying there. But these are dynamic features, changing every single day," says Joye.

One complication of this trip: the smells of the huge amount of hydrocarbons that started spewing on April 20th. It could sometimes be overpowering.

"It was nauseating," says Joye. She described the intense smell as something like a cross between between diesel fuel, creosote, and gasoline.

"Just wretched, wretched, dense air and it's hot, it's humid, and the air is just saturated with these very uncomfortable smells," she explains.

The scientists and the ship's crew had to wear respirators and protective suits at times, especially near "ground zero" where the blowout occurred.

Joye is a biogeochemist, who studies the natural seepage of oil and gas from the floor of the Gulf. At the time, the natural seepage rate in the Gulf of Mexico was on the order of 1,000 barrels a day, over the entire Gulf. But in a 20-mile-long, 3-mile-wide oil and gas plume Joye tracked, the amount of oil and gas was off the charts.

One night, the rescue of a single, oil-soaked bird had an impact on everyone on the ship.

"He was exhausted. His wings were covered in oil, his eyes, [and] his mouth. It was just gut-wrenching and everyone was in tears, myself included. You see this innocent animal, doing the same thing that it had done for all of its life. And instantly, he is coated in this stuff that weighs down his wings. And there's just this look of desperation and fear in his eyes," says Joye. "Animals like that bird, whales, and sea turtles, and fish, and every organism that inhabits the Gulf of Mexico are being exposed to an atrocity."

White House will try to silence me again on oil spill, says marine scientist

Samantha Joye - a Marine Science Professor from the UGA, who was among the first researchers to identify underwater plumes of oil gushing from the BP oil well in the Gulf of Mexico - says the White House will no doubt attempt to silence her once again on her latest findings.

On the Rachel Maddow Show, after spending the last two weeks in the Gulf, Dr. Samantha Joye (professor of marine sciences at the University of Georgia) talks about the nature and the danger of the massive underwater oil plumes in the Gulf of Mexico. 6/6/10

100,000s: UNBELIEVABLE FISHKILL in Louisiana ~ ALL TYPES, EVEN MAMMALS

Dead whale and thousands of dead fish found near Venice shipping canal, WWL-TV New Orleans, September 13, 2010 at 10:41 p.m. EDT:

Thousands of fish and a dead whale on Monday were found...

Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser... said there is no testing going on to determine if it's from the oil spill, although the northern Gulf of Mexico has suffered from a persistent dead zone of low oxygen, blamed on nutrient rich runoff from the Mississippi River.

Nungesser said this is different because usually the kills happen to only one or two species of fish.

AUDIO: Don Dubuc, WWL Radio.

Oil was present near fishkill:

  1. Noor,
Dublin Mick has been banging on about this since it happened, thing is, as we well know, the shitty media are not goin' to report the facts, if they did, everyone would know by now that 911 was an inside job!!!! You know what lady, I sometimes wonder whether it would be a good thing if the vermin had their way. That is what it might take for the masses to awaken to the reality of our situation. Having said that, they know full well that they would be awakening a sleeping giant, we are the irresistible force, they are NOT the immovable object. Palestine keeps us ticking simply because, for everything that has happened there, they are still a thorn in the side of the vermin, and, they are winning the hearts and minds of a lot of ppl, as it gets closer to home, all will be revealed, then the shit hits the fan and the vermin run for cover. There will be no cover to be found, but they will be forgiven...... which is their worst nightmare..... forgiven by who????? The goyim?????? YES

Love and peace and happiness to all

    Steve B
