CANADIANS, HAS OUR COUNTRY LOST ALL HUMANITARIANISM?

This is a three part part piece followed up by a short list of actions regarding free speech in Canada in regards to Palestine. The list is by no means complete!

The FIRST is what you can do to support the Canadian Boat to Gaza.

The SECOND is a piece of hasbara of the lowest order (most shameful) from the Zionist owned Canadian national Post. I read the article and was disgusted. The Comments from readers and are both embarrassing and might bring about an urge to vomit at the words and thoughts of your fellow Canadians ~ the ones who actually listen to mainstream media.

What my experienced eye showed me is that the Israeli apologists and internet “warriors” work hard here in Canada.  Most responses follow the simplistic formula that thousands of them take ~ haughty, dismissive, no facts, a lot of self righteous bluster directed at anyone who is not fully supportive of Israhell.  Chutzpah of the most ignorant order.

Of course, I learned recently that my siblings and their mates think along these lines also. I never argued with them because we were together for the first time in years taking care of our dying mother and keeping the peace was of the first order under such emotionally charged circumstances. But I was shocked and saddened nonetheless.

I do, however, imagine my Commentary on the second piece in the Post will provoke a lot of negative responses, no surprises there.  But we who care MUST speak out more often, without reverting to the insults and slurs that are bandied about so freely by supporters of the illegal apartheid state known as Izrahell. Odd, fifteen minutes later and my response has still not shown. I wrote a second and after 4 minutes it is still not going through. Makes ya wonder.

However, I learned that I am a minority in our family but I will continue to stand for what is right. Please read and take action in whatever way you can. I, for one, am going to contact my local representative when offices open and speak to her, yes she is that accessible. She ran on a platform of decency, time to put her to the test. But we all know, anyone who DARES speak out for Palestine is pilloried by the Canadian painstream media.

I pass. Fifteen minutes later and my comment, the second one has still not gone through! That is two of them in 45 minutes and neither seemed to make it. It could be any of many reasons, so all that shows up from me are a few comments on comments. I guess I am simply not supposed to be involved much in mainstream media!  No great loss as this article shows me.

THIRD is a sample letter to send to Various Canadian politicians, in this case Mr. Layton and Mr. Dewar. I also sent a slightly altered and more personal version to my local MP. Please consider doing the same!

THIS crap is typical of what I am finding on most Canadian sites that are rife with hatred and a mindset almost as foul as that of Israelis on the topic of Palestine. It makes me weep to think such people exist in my own country, but they do. Stupid and unthinking, in the box.

PART ONE

June 9, 2011

The orchestrated campaign against the attempt to break the blockade of Gaza is intensifying with two $1m dollar lawsuits now being taken out against organizations supporting Canadian Boat to Gaza. See press release from Canadian Boat to Gaza below:

URGENT ACTION REQUIRED

NDP MP Alex Atamanenko has taken a conscientious decision to support the Canadian Boat to Gaza's efforts to help the 1.5 million Palestinians of Gaza who have been living for years in an open air prison and to end the inhumane and illegal blockade of Gaza.

Tuesday's National Post carried a vicious smear article against both the Boat to Gaza and Alex Atamanenko. Please write to or call Jack Layton, Paul Dewar and other members of the NDP caucus NOW, tell them you support the Canadian Boat to Gaza and ask them to support it as well.

It is VERY important to do this NOW to counter media and lobbyist pressure. They need to hear from us (and our friends and families) NOW!

MP contact information (both in Ottawa and in their ridings) can be found at webinfo.parl.gc.ca.

Paul Dewar: Dewar.P@parl.gc.ca 613-946-8682

PART TWO
 .
"An injured Israeli commando reacts as he struggles with a pro-Palestinian activist on the Gaza-bound Turkish ship Mavi Marmara. A group of Canadians are trying to provoke a similar response."

Readers, do you see "struggles" or a man in the background arms locked behind his neck in the classic surrender position? and a crying "big mean Israeli little boy soldier" being GUIDED down stairs, TO SEE A MEDIC, weeping and begging his life be spared? He knew what HE would do if HE had an injured enemy in his care so he expects what he himself would deal out!

The following is the shameful article from the rag known as the Canadian National News. I swear this was written by an Israeli it is so full of treacherous lies. . I am going to simply highlight the phrases that are misleading in this shade of blue. You can do the rest and read through the hasbara lies/lines. It will serve as a great lesson for us all to recognize such garbage when we find it.

MATT GURNEY: SILENCE FROM NDP
AS VETERAN MP ENDORSES CANADIAN GAZA BOAT

Jun 7, 2011

It was just over a year ago that Israeli forces went aboard the Mavi Marmara and six other ships that had set sail from Turkey. The vessels were filled with anti-Israel activists and aimed to deliver supplies to Gaza in defiance of Israel’s arms blockade of the Hamas-controlled territory.

Those aboard the ships were hoping to provoke an Israeli response and unfortunately, they succeeded. While most of the ships were boarded peacefully, Israeli troops ~ armed only with light weapons, as they expected no resistance ~ were attacked when they boarded the Mavi Marmara.

The situation escalated rapidly and, having failed to use the appropriate degree of force at the outset, Israeli troops had to use too much at the end. Nine activists were killed and Israel and its blockade were roundly criticized.

A year later, Canadian anti-Israel activists are hoping lightning strikes twice and are planning to sail a vessel from our shores to the Gaza Strip, despite the continuing Israeli military embargo. By forcing a confrontation with the Israelis, they hope to bring yet more international scorn down upon the Jewish State.

They have a long list of supporters, including the usual suspects ~ but also one name that is a bit surprising: Alex Atamanenko, the freshly re-elected NDP MP for B.C. Southern Interior.

Mr. Atamanenko, first elected in 2006, has been quite public with his support of the Gazan cause before. He was quick to condemn Israel for the original flotilla incident. He also criticized its military operations against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip in 2008 and 2009. His endorsement of the Canadian Boat to Gaza is therefore logically consistent, if nothing else.

When the NDP tripled its seat count in the last election, many pundits and politicos wondered how long before an unruly bunch of rookie MPs would begin to cause headaches for NDP leader Jack Layton. How unexpected that it should come from a five-year veteran of the NDP caucus, a veritable wise old man in a sea of new faces.

But do his comments reflect NDP policy, or is he freelancing? On Monday evening, I emailed both Mr. Atamanenko and a senior official in the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition asking Mr. Atamanenko the questions below:

1. Have you endorsed the objective of the Canadian Boat for Gaza, or had contact with them that they may reasonably have interpreted as an endorsement?

2. Does the Official Opposition endorse the goals of the Canadian Boat to Gaza?

3. If yes to the first but no to the latter, was the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition aware of your endorsement of the Canadian Boat to Gaza?

More than 14 hours later, nothing has been sent in reply.

This wouldn’t be the first time the NDP has had an MP go off the reservation when it comes to Israel. Last year, also shortly after the original flotilla incident, NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies was filmed calling for a boycott of Israel and saying that the occupation began in 1948.

Given that Israel came into existence as a state in 1948, the only realistic interpretation of those comments was that Israel, all of it, was an occupation and that it had no right to exist on occupied land. Mr. Layton reacted quickly, speaking to the Israeli ambassador to Canada, to assure her that Ms. Davies’ position did not represent the NDP position. Ms. Davies also sent a letter to the embassy and Mr. Layton was publicly critical of her comments.

That was the right thing for Mr. Layton to do. One wonders if a similar response from Canada’s Official Opposition will be coming now that one of its veteran MPs has seemingly endorsed a group that is deliberately seeking confrontation with the armed forces of an ally.

PART THREE

Feel free to cut and paste the letter I emailed to the men above:

Gentlemen,

I am sure you are fully aware of the facts regarding Palestine, and the Israel embargo on the Palestinian people so I shan't bore you with details.

You KNOW the truth no matter what you might say to the public eye.

I have supported the NDP and I expect that decency and humanity should prevail. I am tenth generation Canadian and, until I learned of my country's stance towards Palestine and other war situations on the planet, was inordinately proud of my country. Today, I am not so much considering the pandering our leaders give to the Israeli country. Harper is a disgrace on the international stage in these regards. I expect a little better from you, Mr. Layton.

FIRST, Alex Atamanenko deserves your credit and support ~ not condemnation ~ for acting upon his conscience and daring to speak out against the status quo. What happened with Libby Davis was a shame and such atrocity should not happen again.

SECONDLY, any lawsuits against those who are brave enough to work to rectify the situation of the Palestinians should be shut down from the onset.

And that is all I wish to say about the matter.

Please do the right thing. You know you want to. Don't let the Chabad warp you as much as they have Harper.

Sincerely,

A Canadian citizen

  1. Humanitarianism is a swear word now,,, just like the word 'relax'
Like the sign of the cross to Dracula. Folks killed in far away lands are but bugs on the windshield to most Canadians it seems.
Bravo for what you do Noor. My own brother also brainwashed into Canadas Vichy BORG
I cant for the life of me understand how it happened. My awakening came after witnessing the treatment of my mental patient girlfriend at the hands of profiteering medical mafia pimps who would be right at home in Himmlers Germany. Things deteriorating by the day here in the country my grandfather served in two wars for to supposedly fend off the same sinister demonic evil.

A new height to the stupidity; At our condo complex here a couple of women thought it might be nice to grow a wee garden. WHOA along come the city overlords wanting a permit costing $500
I hate using the 'net abbreviation lol but,,,LOL!
    An offense to harm wildlife..
    An offense to feed wildlife...
    LOL!
Its hell on earth for those who want peace.
