Here are just a few quotes I stumbled across in my travels tonight. Some are familiar, but for me most are not. The one that struck me the most is the one by Baruch Levy to Karl Marx. The opening line is enough to give one pause for a goodly period of time. Anyhow, I don't know if this is the right word, but "enjoy" and learn. Yet, yesterday, when I was out and about I stopped to sign a petition regarding a local matter here in my little city. The man and I were chatting and within seconds we had taken this small local matter and made it representative of all that we struggle with to survive and open eyes.
I don't know how it came out but he said something like, "Yes I know. I am Jewish, I have managed to escape that mindset." We talked for an easy 45 minutes, recommended books. and I left feeling this had been one of the most delightful encounters I had experienced in months. I will check out the local activist groups we discussed . We also discussed the term anti Semitism and his first comment was, "Yes, I was taught to use it as a weapon. That just was not my style but it is supposed to make other people malleable and guilty feeling."
Why do I mention this? Because I am tired of being called anti Semitic when I am anti Zionist, and that is a political thing that warps all who get involved with it, not a matter of spirit or belief.
I am tired of miserable news etc, so I decided to post depictions of Melusine between quotes. Every time you see the Starbuck logo of the double fish tailed woman, you are looking at Melusine. Poor woman, such an indignity. There are many myths about her that date way back to before the Crusades. Anyhow, on with the quotes.
