There is a lot of good optimism and an excellent slant on the Occupation of Wall Street movement contained in the interview below. 

I agree with Stephen Lendman. We are in the midst of an extremely exciting time ~ a time of great opportunity in North America. 

Back in the day we had the anti-nuclear and end Vietnam protests. We had the civil rights movement. Alas we also had a few other movements and, naive as we were, we allowed ourselves to be co-opted along the way. The biggest bubble of young ambitious optimistic people ever born at once, a potentially disastrous challenge to the status quo, we were co-opted; naive children of prosperity that we were, how different the world might have been had we known what we do now. 

But we were and there is no sense wasting time on "what if's". And sadly, all our warnings about nuclear disaster have exceeded our worst fears and warnings, but I digress.

Those vibrant times were the last time vast numbers of people pulled out of their apathy, an apathy that, through media control, has almost killed the people of America. By America, I refer to both Canada and the United States.  We have had anti war movements and so on, but this current occupy movement and the issues it raises is so very huge it defies description.

Those past movements were very specific and came complete with leaders and defined goals. This occupy movement is so much harder to pin down, and who would want to do that anyhow? No leaders? 

How can this be! 

Aren't we all just sheeple without our own minds?

I remember reading, the first day of Wall Street, a young woman said, "The policeman kept insisting on being taken to our leader. When we told him we didn't have one, he became very confused." Everyone has a different agenda, the important thing is unity and working together towards the same goal which will, optimistically, provide answers for many things. After all, everything is completely entangled, that is how the New World Order has been set up. It is only through our individual but united front that success can be achieved.

People are learning that there is so much more that is wrong than "just" one more war or "just" one more foreclosure.  The entire situation being addressed by each of us transcends "mere" racism or war, it is the entire system that needs to be overhauled. If we do not work hard on this now, with the momentum that seems to keep swelling in enthusiasm and numbers, well, we may not have another opportunity for some time.

NOW we have a movement where people ARE getting together and sharing ideas. To all those who say that there is no focus, they are not paying attention. To those who say it is funded by Soros, as I have in the past, this movement is taking on a life of its own. It could get much bigger and be much more than steam pressure release. Enough people keep talking, getting the dialogue out there, sharing ideas, the greater the chance for change, true change because that sort of thing begins with the people.

So, to all the people out there, on the streets, in the tents, standing against the police, being peaceful, thank you. Keep it up.  Some of us cannot get out there as once we did due to physical difficulties, but we can be there with support, belief in you, belief that this is right, and certainty that this has been a long time coming. 

There are social issues to be addressed but to get to the bottom of those, certain political facts need to be taught as well. It is mandatory to become educated about 911, Zionism, etc etc, but to accept these things as PART of the problem, a huge part. They are a huge part of the foundation of lies upon which our current situation rests.

And while you are at it, consider reading The Green Book by Qaddafi. It is full of ways to do it right!
