To pretend a robot 'brain' has been biologically linked to the pharynx (voice-box) and could thereby communicate through words is false.
The attaching of the millions of individual neurons to enable logical speach connected to the brain is not physiologically possible in the same way transplanting an eye is not possible.
This video is a scientific fake. To attach nerve end synapses to to an organ (of speach) is years away. The closest research is only just beginning to get embryonic nerve cells to interface with Parkinson patients brains. Even that research is decades form succeeding.

Yikes - freaky indeed! I thinks it the making the technology look human that is unnerving.
ReplyDeleteAM, settle down. I don't think anyone ever intended this to be anything more than "comedy". However, it does touch a few nerves along the way.
ReplyDeleteI thought it pretty funny first viewing, as was intended by the creators.
It is obviously a photoshopped piece meant for humour, it is the subject matter that I found interesting.
We are not at Data Star Trek status yet, I don't think!
