This is not my daughter but it is how she presents herself. Heavy lifting gym rat with more muscles and shape than should be legal but absolutely the essence of feminine beauty when it is called for. She can still fold up into a teeny little thing despite the muscles but then turn around and lift huge weights. The only time I have seen her in heels, however, are VERY rare events or when she did modelling gigs. Even for her high school grad, rather than waste precious cash on heels she would hate, she went for really special sneakers with glitter laces. Practical to the core.

 

I tweet about gun control frequently. Never shot a gun or even held one. BUT I do support gun ownership completely. Had things been different, perhaps I would have learned to use them But guns are what keeps America "free".

I have a good friend but she is the most politically ignorant person I have ever met. If I want a good giggle, I bring Trump into the conversation just to watch her explode. Ruled by emotions not intelligence. I just let her be wrong; we simply do not discuss political stuff much, there is already enough other things to keep us gabbing for hours. She follows that silly"How bad it would be if I hadn't got the shots" school of thought. I just let her be by now. If she buys it, she buys it, not worth arguing over any longer.

When my girls were young, I kissed them good night every night until they were young adults. Always they got three kisses, one for each eye. Like most of my parenting, I was just doing what felt right and good, I did not know this was stimulating their third eye, I just liked doing it.

Wherever you are, start stocking up on stuff if you have not already. Harvest season this year won't come as it always does. They are making very sure of that with the weather manipulation going on. Global warming, not. 

 

I would like to say get out and enjoy the sunshine, but if you are like us in the Pacific Northwest, there isn't any! I hope to take a good drive next week, perhaps up to Coombs or Tofino, but this weather does not make it terribly inviting.
